As an artist I am creative, as a project manager I am analytical, and as a designer I get to be both. I specialize in custom residential projects. My favourite part about this work is the challenge of deeply understanding the needs and desires of my clients and translating this into a beautiful space that inspires and optimizes their lifestyle.
My education is in Interior Design, Sustainable Building Construction, with continuing education in Passive House Design and professional accreditation as a Building Code specialist (BCIN).
My career weaves together experience from design, project management, and construction. In architecture firms I worked in both the field of architecture and interior design. In the construction (custom homes) and high-end millwork industry I worked as a project manager and prior to any of my time in an office I worked as a carpenter building houses. My experience as a project manager and carpenter inform my holistic approach to design and highlight a deep understanding and respect for all those who collaborate in the design/build process.
My skillsets are:
architectural plans
interior design plans
building code and zoning compliance
construction budgeting
project coordination
When I'm not working you can usually find me climbing or split-boarding somewhere deep in the mountains or at my Squamish home painting a colourful mountainscape.
